The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) confers the von Kármán Lecture in Astronautics Award annually, recognizing an individual who has performed notably and distinguished themself technically in the field of astronautics.

I was honored to be recognized in 2004 as the recipient of this medal.
